Silicone sealants offer a wide range of 
applications due to their excellent resistance 
to UV and weather. They can be easily applied 
in various temperature conditions, ranging 
from -35°F to 130°F (-37°C to 54.4°C). These 
sealants exhibit remarkable stability at very 
high and low temperatures, ranging from -80°F 
to 400°F (-62°C to 204°C). They also provide 
strong adhesion, particularly to glass and 
have excellent joint movement capabilities, 
allowing for flexibility from ± 25% to ± 50%. 
Additionally, silicone sealants typically come 
with warranties of 10 years and have a life 
expectancy of over 25 years. They also have 
a shelf life lasting between one to two years. 
It’s important to note, however, that silicone 
sealants cannot be painted, as paint tends to 
bead up when applied to cured silicone.
