## Description

Overview S1000C will provide exceptional clarity, making it an ideal sealant to use for frameless shower enclosures, glass entries and partitions, specialty glass assemblies, and glass block installations. Its unique weatherability enables it to retain original design properties, even after years of exposure. Not recommended for structural glazing or insulated glass, laminated glass, mirror installations or aquariums. Material/Construction Meets ASTM C-920; TT-S-00230C, Weatherability: Excellent, Movement: +/- 25% Hardness: (Shore A) 30, Tensile Strength: 300 psi, Elongation @ Break: 400%, Cure Time: 1/4" Bead/24 Hours, Service Temperature: -80 deg. F to 450 deg. F Continuous, Up to 500 deg. F Interment Hazard Statement This product reacts with water moisture or humid air evolve following compounds: Acetic Acid Classification: None base on IMO and DOT Fire and Explosion: Not considered flammable nor combustible, but will burn if involved in a fire Appearance: Transparent/colorless Physical State: Paste Liquid Odor: Acetic acid Potential Health Effects: Skin Causes mild skin irritation Eyes: Causes eye irritation Inhalation: May cause irritation to mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract Ingestion: No information is available Surface Preparation The substrate must be clean, dry, frost-free, sound, and free of any oils, greases, incompatible sealers, paints, or coatings that may interfere with adhesion. Do not apply if surface is damp or contaminated. It is recommended to test all substrates prior to applications. How to Use For best results, ensure surface is clean, dry, and free of oil and grease. Cut nozzle to desired bead size, puncture inner seal. Apply with a caulking gun, forcing sealant onto the substrate, then tool if needed. Clean excess material with mineral spirits or similar solvent. Prevention Wash face, hands, and any exposed skin thoroughly after handling. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like protective gloves, protective clothing, and face protection. Wear eye/face protection. Precautions S1000C is not mildew resistant. Small amounts of bubbles may become visible during your installation process. Considerations should be made up front regarding the visual standards of appearance and repairs based on sight lines. The clarity of FHC's TRU-Clear silicone will not hide tooling errors during the installation. S1000C is not for use on the following applications: Glazing or edge sealing of insulating glass; laminated glass, brass, magnesium, zinc, copper, and galvanized surfaces. Check cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet for additional limitations. Storage Material is to be stored under controlled dry environment (below 90deg F). Use within 12 months from date of manufacture. For best results, keep material in tightly closed containers when not in use. Do not freeze. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
